Hello and welcome to the first edition of Canna-CBD Health Newsletter covering many subjects on CBD oils, tinctures, topical salves, suppositories and the raw, full spectrum hemp oil. Once every few weeks, I will send you information that will educate you on CBD for kids, adults, seniors and pets.

I am writing to you because you are a CBD wholesale customer of mine and I want to share new information as it is published. Please ask Jerri Nachman for the new price list. You must be a wholesaler to receive it. A few items have changed, and a few items have been added such as Veterinarian Strength oil drops at 550 milligram (mg) and Extra Strength at 1,100 mg, as well as new peanut butter CBD pet treats. The natural freeze dried Alaskan salmon and real chicken treats are 150 mg per 3 oz bag (4 mg per treat) whereas the bacon treats come in a 6 oz bag. The new peanut butter treats have 100 total mg per 4 oz bag. Pets love this stuff!
Topical
I may introduce new product lines in the near future like a 500 mg topical salve in a 1.6 oz jar for severe arthritis or after a traumatic accident or surgery. Our current PHARMA Hemp Complex salve is 150 mg in a 1 oz jar and works wonders on normal inflammation and arthritis. If a pet gets hurt or breaks a bone, white corpuscles gather creating swelling. It is usually this inflammation pressing against small and large nerves that cause great discomfort and pain. Rubbing a small amount of 150 mg topical salve directly on the surrounding tissue will decrease the inflammation, therefore reduce the pain & discomfort.

Rubbing CBD salve on painful areas on pets as well as humans reduces damage to tissue and nerves working for about 4 – 6 hours, then after daily use, replenishes soft tissue and sometimes bone cells. CBDs boost the immune system so next time there is an accident or arthritis flare up, the amount of time for healing reduces. Try it on yourself and feel the benefits.
Prescribed Dosing: How Much Is Too Much?
We cannot give absolute prescription dosing because we are not physicians. However, I do want to offer guidance to assist you in informing your customers/patients.
1 Pump = 10 drops = o.5 ml Dropper
For Dogs & Cats:
- 10 pounds or less – 5-8 mg per day TOTAL and slowly increase
- Up to 30 pounds or less – 9-12 mg per day
- Up to 50 pounds or less – 13-20 mg per day
- Up to 100+ pounds – 21-30 mg per day (this may be too much)
Remember, CBD comes from the natural hemp plant and the worst that can happen to pets if given too much is they will curl up happily and take a nap. The other is you may be wasting product. Start with lower doses and work up until your pet is getting the full value that is intended, either for pain relief, hyperactivity or fear (before a vet visit or traveling in the backseat of the car). Does the pet act out when pet “parents” leave for work? Give them a 4 mg pet treat or a few drops of CBD oil on their food to soothe their separation anxiety and give them a happy day home alone.

And, the treats are delicious! My friends at Dog In Suds, Encinitas, line up the treats on their front desk for everyone to see. They also put a sign in the door and window to let people know they carry CBD products. You will be surprised at how many people already know about CBDs but didn’t know where to buy them. You can not only increase your bottom line profits, your customers will refer new clients to your store/clinic/resort for other procedures and services.
Suggested Usage
About 15 minutes before a pet gets into the car to go to the veterinarian or to be groomed, pet parents give them a 4 mg pet treat to calm them down and relax. Some pets have fear and anxiety when going to new places where they will be left alone with a caregiver/grooming person. Until they are comfortable, ingesting CBD will relax, mellow, curb anxiety, reduce pain & inflammation, and give them a sense of well being without getting them high. There is No THC (the psychoactive compound in the cannabis plant) in our pet products.
If you have the CBD oil dropper, only give them 2 drops at one time. Larger animals could use 5 – 8 drops. One client has a 3 year old Doberman who barks and lunges at other dogs in the park. She gives him a full dropper before leaving the house and the Doberman happily stays by her side.
CBD Strengths
I carry CBD strengths of:

- 1,100 mg Extra Strength in one ounce dropper
Use your best judgement as to the size of the pet and level of discomfort or ailment in administering strength and frequency. I personally use the 120 mg tincture in the morning (replacing coffee) and the 550 mg Extra Strength an hour before I go to bed to repair cells inflicted by arthritis and for a full night’s sleep. CBDs work throughout the night to boost the immune system and calm nerves. Remember, CBDs have accumulative effects so best results take a few weeks.
What’s In Future Newsletters?
The top of the newsletter is pertinent information about the products I am offering you, any changes in pricing, etc. The lower portion will be general information about CBD benefits. Remember, we share the same endocannabinoid system as other mammals (dogs, cats, hamsters, horses, etc.,) so the benefits are the same, in most cases, for humans. We share about 70% physical cell receptor similarities. As a matter of fact, our oil droppers and tinctures are formulated the same for humans as for pets so if a client comes in and asks for you to order a human oil, you can sell them a bottle with the pet branding. It’s the same product, just different packaging.
I also want to be more clear about the relationship of CBD to Cannabis or Marijuana.
