A Day In The Life Of… Me
While staying home and continuing my daily 2 hour solo walks, I have thought about you and wanted to share the things I am personally doing to boost my immune system and maintain general well being. Restful sleep is of utmost importance. Needless to say, I have a sick pit in my stomach each and every day worrying about the thousands of people who are suffering, but this newsletter is not about that right now. It’s about how to support ourselves, families, and close friends through this time.
High quality hemp-based, THC-Free, CBD is known for immune system boosting, anti-bacterial properties, pain reduction, and neurological calming of the brain and nervous system. I am using CBD to help me through this time of anxiety and trepidation.
CBD Soothing and Calming Effects
Scientific research throughout the Globe demonstrates the soothing and calming effects of hemp-based Cannabinoids along with hundreds of natural Terpenes found in plants and herbs. Terpenes are “essential oils” found in nature. Those are the foundation of Cannabis, a plant that includes more beneficial properties than most any other single plant. How Do I Stay Calm & Healthy?
Because I use a CBD tincture before bedtime, I am sleeping more than any time in my life. And, sleeping all night through! Are your parents or kids sleeping well? This is what I do every day to stay cool and pain free.
Almost every morning, I create an organic smoothie including:
- Fresh squeezed oranges/grapefruit from our yard
- Add another fruit from the farmer’s market or a neighbor’s yard (pls get permission first!)
- Add ¼ cup of shredded, unsweetened coconut from Trader Joe’s
- Shaker or two of powdered cinnamon spice
- Half scoop of powerful PHARMA Hemp Complex Raw Hemp CBD Protein Powder
- A scoop of PHARMA Hemp Complex CBD Green Juice Mix with Matcha, Spirulina and Chlorella (it is really “green” tasting which I don’t like very much). This will definitely replace fresh greens when I run out and don’t want to venture to the store all covered up in mask and gloves!
If I don’t use the Raw Hemp CBD Protein Powder, I add a small scoop (using the tip of a butter knife) of PHARMA Hemp Complex Water Soluble CBD Isolate Nano Particle Powder into the blend with raw almonds and ginger. Both will keep for a long time. Nano particles are 5 times smaller and have 5 times more bio-availability than normal, larger molecules of CBD.
Measuring CBD/Dosing
I don’t worry about the exact portions of CBD or milligrams that go into each smoothie. You can spend time measuring each ingredient to find out the precise amount of CBD, or just approximate. If I have a total of 20 – 25 milligrams of highest quality CBD per day, that’s great for my size & needs. Some people need more. If you feel very sleepy after this morning smoothie, then use less CBD early in the day, and more before bed. As long as you get about 20 – 25mg per day for immune system boost, anxiety and pain reduction, you will be good. Larger sized people need more for maximum efficacy because hemp oil sticks to lipids (fatty tissues) and not get all the way to the bloodstream. I met a woman at a CBD Expo and she told the group she uses 300mg of CBD per day to combat Lupus.
So, I sip my 6 ounce nutritious smoothie blend slowly while checking email and soon feel full and energized. Even the Spirulina starts tasting better – mainly because I know it’s so good for me. If too green tasting, add a little natural, organic CBD honey from PHARMA Hemp Complex. A real treat!
Topical Pain Relief
After about 1 minute, I feel the powerful eucalyptus penetrating my skin and muscles promoting relaxation. The concentrated CBD hemp oil melts several layers into the dermis and turns pain receptors from “on” to “off”. Thank goodness for CBD topical! For me, I don’t feel pain for 6 – 8 hours, then repeat application before bed. Have I ever told you about a nasty burn from my car’s exhaust pipe?

So, to finish off my day, I cleanse my face at night and pump CBD tincture into the palm of my hand. Using the tips of my fingers, I distribute the oil all over my face and neck. Do you remember that little girl who had between 300 – 400 seizures per day and her parents moved the family to Colorado, the only state at the time with legal marijuana? After injecting raw marijuana hemp oil through her belly button, Charlotte nearly stopped seizing. That was about 10 years ago. Charlotte Figi had Dravet syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy which was not controlled by medication.
